Camera shots In Hip Hop videos we see numerous different camera angles but the common camera angles that seem to dominate hip hop videos are usually low angle close ups, flat angle close ups and medium shots. Artist love to use low angle close ups within their music videos because it gives them a feeling of power against their audience. They also use flat angle close up because it allows the audience to truly see the artists real emotions and also shows that the artist believe that they are prestigious enough to have their faces framed. Medium shots are commonly used in hip hop videos because artist want to try and show off all their wealth by showing flashy cars, big houses, jewellery etc

Costume/ Acessories Hip hop and rap artist have since the early ages fallen into some type culture where they must show off their luxourios jewellery such as Rolexes, long silver chains, diamond earrings just to highlight their wealth. Artist also wear very very expensive clothes that their audeience dream to wear and cant afford to show not only their wealth but that they’ve achieved the American dream

Setting The location of hip hop and rap videos are set in one of the two locations or occasionally in both they are either the lower class nitty gritty neighbourhood they grew up in known as the “ghetto” or “hood” or a high end area with top class shopping balls and international land mark bulidings. Artist choose to shoot their videos in the hood because it shows to the audience that they have started from the bottom and that their struggle was real. When artist shoot music videos in high end places they give an audience a insight of what their day to day life is like

Provocative Females Both male and female hip hop artist get provactive females to star in their videos to in a sense make the video seem a little more professional and to for the full duration of the music video captivate the audience . When we see male artist get females in their videos they do so to show the audience that they can get any female they wish to have due to their ‘power’ ‘money’ ‘respect’ they have in the industry.
