“What does it take to be excellent in Spirit?” Knowing that God’s standard for good is excellence – God wants our best, not the best When God requires our best, it means that he requires our whole heart into it God has told us to do something, He is only requiring us to bring our best in obedience to Him Excellence is not “busy-ness” The counterfeit of excellence is perfection The principle of excellence is not doing what we want but doing what God desires for His church

Being excellent is seeing goodness in every opportunity There is no perfect church Daniel saw an opportunity when they were asked to eat and drink food offered to idols. He used this opportunity to influence and make known God’s name in the Babylonian kingdom As believers, we need to see every opportunity as a possibility for God to do his wonders We don’t dwell on the negative things of the church We carry the Spirit in us that sees good in every situation

It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” God’s desire is for us to give our best We can never excel in anything in life unless we invest on it We spend time to train ourselves to what we want to excel The measure of excellence in what we do for God determines our heart to serve Him Spiritual gifts are abilities God gives the believer for the purpose of serviceSpiritual gifts are abilities God gives the believer for the purpose of service

Being excellent in service brings influence and relying on His grace in what we do As believers, we play an important role in Kingdom building A person who has an excellent spirit brings influence to where God has placed him The spirit of excellence releases us from fear and rejection Matthew 5:16 says “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
