We Will Be… Respectful Responsible and… Ready to Learn!

Always Remember To: Keep hands and feet to yourself Speak nicely Wait your turn Be a good friend!

How Are We Doing Each Day? Super Star Good Job (we all start here) Warning Consequence

If You Make Great Choices… Move your clip up Take home a Superstar slip Mom and Dad will be so proud! Bring back your slips each day to be entered in a weekly drawing.

If You Make a Poor Choice… Move your clip down Face the consequence Take home a warning or consequence slip for Mom and Dad to sign …But you can always move your clip back up again if you start to make better choices!

A Consequence Might Be… Sitting away from other kids Losing a special privilege Writing an apology Benched at recess or lunch Talk to Mrs. Wildey Mrs. Fay contacts home

On the Rug… Sit in your own square. Criss-Cross Applesauce Hands on your knees! Stay on your pockets so friends can see! Raise your hand to talk.

At Your Desk… Hands and feet are still. Eyes are watching. Ears are listening. Mouths are quiet. Put everything away when you are done. Unfinished work goes in your folder. Turn in work that you finish. ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST!

I’m Finished…Now What?? MORNINGS Do unfinished work first! Then… Read a book Go to centers – Post Office, Math Center, i-Ready/RAZ Kids on Computers, Work on “extra credit” packets

I’m Finished….Now What?? Afternoons Do unfinished work first! Then… Same options as in the morning, PLUS… Free Time!

FREE TIME! Play with math manipulatives Draw on paper or slates Play games Computers (have an adult help turn it on)

At Your Table Work nicely with others Clean up when told Work quietly Be helpful Tables who clean up quickly and quietly get to go out to recess sooner! The table with the most points get a prize each Friday!

In Line Line up outside our door, behind the line leader Line leader walks behind teacher or teaching parent Feet are quiet Hands are at your sides Put a bubble in your mouth – don’t pop it! We NEVER run in the hallways

Buying Lunch Get in the Buying Lunch line. Make sure you have your money or a lunch card. Keep your money in a safe place until lunch time. Wait quietly outside MPR until you are invited in. Get your lunch – make healthy choices! Tell the lunch lady your name or give her your money. If you forgot your money or your lunch, you can get a cheese sandwich – have the teaching parent help you. Remember to say THANK YOU! Walk carefully with your lunch tray down to the tables. Talk to mom or dad each morning about whether you are bringing or buying lunch, so you know where to go.

At Snack and Lunch… Wash your hands before going out Snack – sit and eat for 5 minutes Lunch – sit and eat for 10 minutes Nut-free table for kids who have food allergies Ask to be excused Throw away your trash Remember your lunch box when the bell rings!

On the Playground Play nicely and safely. Wait your turn for swings, balls, etc. Only go DOWN the slide on your pockets. No standing on top of bars. Stay out of ivy, off of hillsides No throwing rocks or sticks If you can’t see an adult, they can’t see you! Try to work out problems with your words. Talk to a Teaching Parent if you need more help. Earn a Success Ticket if you are caught doing something good. Always respect Teaching Parents – they will tell Mrs. Fay what happened each day!

Other Rules Take drinks at breaks – not in the middle of learning time. Put dull pencils in DULL cup, take a new one from SHARP cup. Teaching parents will sharpen pencils. One boy or girl in the bathroom at a time. Try to use bathroom at breaks – BATHROOM STAMINA Don’t talk to teaching parents when Mrs. Fay is teaching.
