What an amazing sight met their eyes! They were looking down on a lovely valley. There were green meadows on either side and there was a great brown river flowing past. There was a tremendous waterfall halfway along the river — a steep cliff where the water crashed down into a boiling churning whirlpool of spray. Below the waterfall, enormous glass pipes were dangling down into the river from up high! They really were enormous. There must have been a dozen of them, and they were sucking up the brown muddy water from the river.
