We’re All Going to the Zoo May Rhymes & Songs May’s theme is all about the zoo. We’ll be making plenty of animal themed crafts as well as noises![ Our rhymes this month are – Baby room We’re All Going to the Zoo Chorus We're goin' to the zoo, zoo, zoo How about you, you, you? You can come too, too, too See the elephant with the long trunk swingin' Great big ears and a long trunk swingin' Snuffin' up peanuts with a long trunk swingin' And we can stay all day See all the monkeys they're scritch-scritch scratchin' Jumpin' around and scritch-scritch scratchin' Hangin' by the long-tail (huff huff huff)

The 2-3 room and the 3+ room are doing the following rhymes – There's a big black bear he's a huff-puff-a-puffin' His coat's too heavy he's a huff-puff-a-puffin' Don't get too near the huff-puff-a-puffin' Or you won't stay all day Chorus It’s quite a long rhyme so we’re not expecting to finish it each time we sing it but we’ll have a go. The 2-3 room and the 3+ room are doing the following rhymes – 5 Little Monkeys Five little monkeys jumping on the bed One fell off and bumped his head His Mummy called the doctor And the doctor said: “No more monkeys jumping on the bed” Four little monkeys jumping on the bed Three little monkeys jumping on the bed And the doctor said,

An Elephant Goes Like This & That Two little monkeys jumping on the bed One fell off and bumped his head His Mummy called the doctor And the doctor said: “No more monkeys jumping on the bed” One little monkey jumping on the bed “Put those monkeys right to bed” An Elephant Goes Like This & That An elephant goes like this & that. (Move on all fours, slowly like an elephant) He's terribly big. (Stand up, reach arms high) And he's terribly fat. (Stretch arms out to the sides) He has no fingers, (Make fists, hiding fingers.) He has no toes, (Wiggle toes) But goodness gracious, What a nose! (make a nose with your arm)
