Parent Meeting August 18th, 2019

Youth Website Go to www.quakeyouth.org It has Quake’s upcoming events, forms, calendars, registration links, contact information, etc

How to Register for Events - NEW We use an online program called Planning Center this is how we do registration. https://www.quakeyouth.org/registration Click to register

How to Pay for Events – 3 options Online Event Paymnt – www.quakeyouth.org/registration All other payments and forms must be submitted to the church office. Outside office hours, they may be put in the drop slot outside the front of the office. All payments must be given to the Financial Secretary, Dick McConnell– please do not hand to Mark. Make sure to put in the Memo your student name and event name. If cash, please attach a paper with name and event. 3. Pay through E-Giving. Create an E-Giving account on www.marysvillefumc.org and mark it for the event itself.

Bibles: Parents Night Out – 2 nights Upward – 8 hours total (you can split with another family, but need 8 hours total) We give out new Bibles to all new students. This is a Teen Study Bible. Your student can pick one up tonight!

Weekly Schedule Quake (worship and lesson): 6pm Snack Shack: 6:45pm (Dominos Pizza $1.50/slice & Pop $.50) – this week covered Life Groups: 7:15pm (Doors open at 5:30pm) Fellowship Night: Once a month we will have a family, life group, or Sunday School class prepare and serve Quake dinner. Weekly Schedule – Aug to Nov

Breakfast Club is now on FRIDAY! This is an opportunity for fellowship and a student- led devotion. We meet at the McDonald’s in Mill Valley at 6:30am and rides to school are provided. If there is a delay, we will follow the delay schedule. We will see you at McDonald’s on select FRIDAYS at 6:30am. If there is a 2-hour delay, we will begin at 8:30am. Starting August 30th!

See You at the Pole On Wednesday, September 25 there will be “See You At The Pole” at your school’s flag pole. This is a great opportunity for students to pray with their peers about their school, community, nation, and anything else they feel led to pray about. This is a student-led activity. Date: September 25th Time: 7:00am (?) at MHS & Bunsold Location: your school’s flag pole

Back to School Bash We are looking for some help with our annual Back to School Bash. Date: Sunday, Sept 8 Time: 6:00-8:00pm Location: MFUMC Parents: we need your help to make this happen – dinner prep, game stations, etc.

Worship Academy Students who want to take a step deeper in their faith & in worship are encouraged to join us for our student leadership classes Age Level: Middle School & High School Start Date: TBA [mid-September] NOTE: We will still have opportunities for High School students wanting to helping lead during SuperStart! (5th and 6th grade retreat) and/or Confirmation Retreat.

Youth Sunday School We are currently working on this and will announce once we know more about service times and schedules!

Must register by September 11th at 5pm. Fall Retreat Dates: Friday Sept 27 at 6pm to Sunday Sept 29 at 12pm Location: Heartland Retreat Center Cost: $85 (includes T-Shirt) Must register by September 11th at 5pm.
