Description of Igbo Architecture Most housing are structured with a bamboo frame. They often use vines, mud and banana leaves to cover their houses. Most homes blend into the surrounding forest and can be easily missed if you don't know where to look. It is traditionally known that men and women live in separate houses.

Decorations Typical Nigerian houses are usually decorated with various sculptures relating to their culture. These sculpture are often used to keep away evil spirits. Many are used to please tribal gods/goddesses or promote good luck as well.
