Classification Practice Project Biology Mr. Foster

Copy the table below and paste it into your PowerPoint. Fill in the blanks Kingdom Cell Type Cell Structure Body Type Nutrition Eubacteria   Cell wall with peptidoglycan Autotrophic & Heterotrophic Archaebacteria Prokaryotic Cell wall without peptidoglycan Unicellular Protista Fungi Plantae Eukaryotic Animalia Multicellular

Answer the question below using complete sentences. What characteristics are used to distinguish between the organisms in the different kingdoms? What is the primary difference in cell structure between Archaebacteria & Eubacteria? In the 5 kingdom system which kingdom does Archaebacteria & Eubacteria belong? Which kingdoms include multicellular heterotrophic organisms?

Answer the question below using complete sentences. What primary difference distinguishes the members of kingdoms Archaebacteria & Eubacteria from other kingdoms?  What characteristics distinguish fungi from plants? Another possible way to classify organisms would be to separate them into unicellular & multicellular organisms. Explain why this would not be a useful classification system.

Choose 5 Species and tell me the following Common Name Kingdom Phylum Class Order Family Scientific Name (Genus and Species) Always underline the Genus and Species 2 pictures of each animal Scientific classification
