2019-2020 DUES Last time to bring $20 dues is August 21st by 3:15 pm! Bring them to an officer at one of the August meetings, or to Ms. Akins in room 132 Speak to an advisor with any concerns

2019-2020 MEETING DATES August 20th & 21st September 3rd & 4th 7:15am and 3:15pm in room IC1 August 20th & 21st September 3rd & 4th October 1st & 2nd November 5th & 6th December 3rd & 4th - 20 hours due at 3:15 January 14th & 15th February 4th & 5th March 3rd & 4th April 7th & 8th -20 hours due for SENIORS at 3:15 Juniors’ 2nd semester hours will be due at the May meetings ran by the 2020-2021 officers

VOLUNTEER HOURS Requirement is 20 hours per semester 5 hours at least must be NHS sponsored Social events will count towards your total Encouraged but NOT REQUIRED Hours sheets and meeting ppts on burke.ops.org >activities> National Honors Society Extra hours may carry over to 2nd Semester 20 hours will be due at the December Meetings on Dec. 3rd and 4th!

MISSING A MEETING If you miss a month’s meeting: Fill out a Missing Meeting form (on burke website) Turn in to NHS folder by Library Conference Room Remember: Meetings are mandatory and failure    to attend or complete missing meeting forms     may result in probation

WALK TO CURE NPC September 28th at Chalco Hills from 7am- 11am 7-9:30 Set up/ clean up, hand out t-shirts/ water and run raffles/ games 9:30-10 is the actual walk, and it is encouraged that you stay for this and clean up until 11 Volunteering AND walking, sign up in the link sent out via REMIND and at the front If you are ONLY volunteering, sign up at the front

August Social Hour Back to School Celebration: Group Kickball Game with food and fun! When: August 31st at 6:30 PM Where: TBD we will text out more details later on REMIND! If the weather does not hold out, we will reschedule Sign up at the front!!
