Discuss the questions below with a partner. What is cyberbullying? How does it happen? Which age group experiences cyberbullying the most? What are some of the consequences of cyberbullying? What can a person do if they are bullied online? (Scheff, n.d.) IAE for IT: T. Graham

Summary Writing: Cyberbullying You are going to read some texts (handout) about cyberbullying. You will be asked to summarize each text. A summary: tells the main idea of a piece of writing; is always shorter than the main text; leaves out details that are not important; is written in your own words (paraphrased). Now, read Page 1 of the handout. IAE for IT: T. Graham

Summary Writing: Cyberbullying Read the texts on pages 2 - 4. Before you summarize: make sure you understand the vocabulary in the texts; look up words you don’t understand; read the instructions.
