Revision Process Identify roles & responsibilities – Complete Identify goals & intended outcomes – By August 2nd Develop theory of change – By August 9th Convene Advisory Council & stakeholders for input on key decisions – Start by end of August refined indicators & structure use of an observation tool revisions to TA and financial systems Plan and conduct pilot process – June-September 2020 Conduct iterative review process until Stars revision is finalized – January-February 2021

Structure Revision Current system is points-based with required (“essential”) standards at higher levels New system will use building blocks (required standards) at lower levels and points at higher levels Roll-out Sessions To Be Announced 2 sessions in each county (day and evening) End of August/Early September Show graphic after this slide

Standards Revision Identify outcomes the state seeks to impact as a result of the revision process Develop subcommittees with subject matter expertise in particular areas to focus on subsets of indicators Refine indicators with a focus on standards that have been shown to address identified targeted outcomes
