Increases in serum albumin level are followed after increased serum ionized calcium level and institution of calcium supplementation, and a marked decrease in serum albumin level after abrupt reducing dose of oral calcium supplementation is illustrated. Serum albumin levels increased again with increased oral calcium supply and remained normal despite the decrease in calcium dose given.
