II. A Proper Response

II. A Proper Response 1) JOB ACKNOWLEDGED GOD’S INFINITE POWER - “I know you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.” (Job 42:2)

II. A Proper Response 2) JOB ACKNOWLEDGED HIS INABILITY TO UNDERSTAND GOD - Job 42:3: “I spoke things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.”

As finite beings, we must never draw dogmatic conclusions about the relationship between sin and punishment!

II. A Proper Response 3) JOB SOUGHT GOD’S FACE INSTEAD OF HIS ANSWERS - Job 42:5 “My ears had heard of you, but now my eyes have seen you.”

II. A Proper Response 4) JOB HUMBLED HIMSELF AND REPENTED - Job 42:6 Job says, “I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.”
