Child’s Play

Play Play is an important and necessary part of development. Play influences: Physical, Intellectual, Social and Emotional development.

Physical Development Helps to develop fine movements skills. E.g. Children need to build upper body strength by hanging or swinging

Intellectual Development Both verbal and visual stimulation is provided by play. Play encourages mental awareness

Social and Emotional Development Play encourages ‘friends’ – social relationships between children. This then forms the basis of socialization into adult society.
