School subjects School subjects to academic disciplines or curriculum content to disciplinary knowledge Academic curriculum primarily consisting of discrete school subjects derived from traditional academic disciplines. School subjects of cross-curricular nature i.e. designed to meet the academic needs of students School subjects are introduced into schools and classrooms as a distinct representation of a content embodied in curriculum documents or materials.
