Architect makes a plan, designs and then review the process of building construction. Architect is a person who makes our dream come true. Architect is the one who designs our home and makes it beautiful surrounding to live in. As architects and civil engineers both work for the same industry but architects are concerned with the planning, architectural drawing and structural drawing and whereas civil engineer mainly focuses on survey, measurements and execution of project. What architects do ?

Architect’s Role… ?

1. Understanding the client’s requirement

Careful note of his/her requirements and expectation are taken. Any changes in the requirements by the client is handled by the Architect of the site. This helps in avoiding the delay at work and Clients satisfaction is also fulfilled.

2. Preparation of drawings

The design and drawings of project are created before the execution of work on the site. All the estimation, material procurement and work at site is carried out on the basis of drawings made by the architect. The sketch designs include the location of the building. The overall layout of the project is reflected on the sketch designs.

3. Preparing applications for approval

There are many types of permission which the architect must take from governments before development work starts on any sites. There are many approvals which are taken from Ministry of housing, communities and local government. For taking this approvals one must prepare a document and submit them and this is done by the Project Architect. Work of Architect is to verify that all the work is done in correct manner.

4. Role of Architects in construction

Architect is involved in each and every project Meetings/Discussions to verify that work is going on in organized manner or not. Architect does site visits and overseeing of the construction and take a look that everything is going according to plan. Architect also resolves any problem that arises on the project sites.

5. Role of Architect in Marketing

Architects promote their work to gain popularity from public side. They take new contracts and apply their creativity on buildings which helps in gaining popularity. As the Architects are the one who are responsible for making the environment innovative and luxurious place to live. To do so they must have best knowledge about their work and have lots of creativity.
