Feb. 21- 24, 2017 Hope you had a wonderful President’s Day Weekend Kindergarten Ms. Ballard, Mrs. Ishman, Mrs. Weber, and Mrs. Graf Kindergarten News Specials: In Reading and Language Arts the kindergarten students have been building from what is known about words to what is new. Rather than rote memorization, the children have been actively exploring and examining word features through games and activities. In Math, we have manipulated numbers, made up math pattern dances with a partner, and are working through different problem solving strategies for addition and subtraction. Mon. : No School Tues. Day 6: Music, Spanish, Library – BOOK DAY! Wed. Day 7: Strings, Art Thurs. Day 1: Physical Education, Science, Lab, Library Fri. Math Children deepen their knowledge of problem solving as they create story problems for addition and subtraction numeric equations. They continue partner work for partners 2 through 6 and practice visualizing teen numbers as a ten and extra ones.
