Ancient Indian Mathematics and Science. PRESENTATION BY Arijit Gupta.

NUMBER SYSTEM Ancient India is responsible for the invention of the number symbols 1-9.

Infinity They invented the idea of infinity. They needed a symbol for a quantity that didn’t stop.

Zero They invented the zero sign They also invented the idea of zero

Science They understood the concept of gravity. They knew that the world was round, not flat. They also excelled in astronomy.

Algebra Ancient India was one of the first cultures to actually use algebra. Aryabhata, the leading mathematician, developed algbra and helped make it better.

Aryabhata Aryabhata was the mathematician responsible for the development of infinity. He also developed the mathematical algorhythm.
