This would allow us to create an easy to install and operate, resilient Control plane and provide a hypervisor for mission critical workloads in the cloud. We saw that this is what others were doing. They were bringing existing clustering technologies like Pacemaker to OpenStack and building HA clouds. However, those are technologies that have been around for many years.
