Taenia saginata Adult:4-6 meters has quadrate shaped scolex with four suckers with no rostellum or hooks.

Taenia solium Adult:measures up 2-4 meters. Scolex has four suckers and rostellum carring double circles of hooks. GRAVID segment:12x6mm,7-12 lateral segments

Taenia egg Egg: size:30-40um shape:spherical, thick and radially striated colour:yellowish brown contain:hexacanth embryo

Morphology The adult tapeworm is about 3-6 mm long and has three proglottids ("segments") immature, mature and gravid . E. granulosus has four suckers on its scolex ("head"), and a rostellum with hooks.
