The strategy 6 interventions institutional mechanisms 6X6X6 strategy Anemia Mukt Bharat will use a 6x6x6 strategy to combat anemia

Six Beneficiary Groups Estimated 450 million beneficiaries Reaching nearly 50% of the country’s population

Six interventions Testing of anemia and point of care of treatment Anemia testing using invasive digital hemoglobinometers, for In school adolescents and Pregnant women Testing of adolescents by RBSK teams, follow up by ANM/MPW/States to decide Testing of PW at VHNDs/ANC clinics For non-nutiritonal causes of anemia- focus on Malaria, Fluorosis and hemoglobinopathies through reiterating preventive/promotive activities as per the respective programmes and fluorosis

Six institutional mechanisms Inter-ministerial convergence with – MWCD, MHRD, WSD for implementing the overall strategy and activities Convergence also at State level through joint review mechanisms

Journey of Anemia Mukt Bharat Guidelines (English and Hindi) – Released by Hon’ble PM on 14th April A complete set of communication aids (English and Hindi) Independent Dashboard for monitoring State and district score-cards using HMIS AIIMS (CCM) designated as National Centre of Excellence and Advanced Research on Anemia Control Technical support, trainings and monitoring

Journey of Anemia Mukt Bharat Inter-divisional (MH, CH & AH) meeting to discuss on the expert group consultation recommendations and the way forward Meeting with NCEAR team to discuss on the follow up action plan for strategy launch, implementation and urgent research needs Meeting with Senior officials from NVBDCP Division and NPPCF Division to discuss specific strategy on addressing anemia in malaria and fluorosis endemic districts Roll-out plan ready –starting with national orientation and supply workshop and setting up a PPMU Unit for Anemia Mukt Bharat in MoHFW
