Safety Leadership for FLS Challenges at the Worksite Case for Change Safety Leadership for FLS Challenges at the Worksite Unskilled manpower:- Selection of crews with limited exposure to oil and gas operations. Managing sub-contractors:- Sub-con fabrication yards non compliance to PDO’s safety requirement. Lifting and hoisting:- Non compliance to the lifting plan and proper access. Working at height:- Non compliance to working at height protection, e.g. harness requirement, platforms Excavation: Damage to underground infrastructures. Heavy Mobile Equipment:- Transportation and logistics, e.g. overloading, transferring. MVI and rollovers:- traffic management & road safety. SIMOPS:- Overlapping of tasks from different work teams. Working in confined space:- Inadequate confined space rescue plan. Loading and offloading:- Not following the procedures, not properly securing loads from vehicles. Under reporting of nearmisses and first aid cases. Tool Box Talks ineffective:- Not engaging workforce, lack of reflective learning, need to incorporate quality. PTW implementation:- JSPs too generic, poor quality risk assessment, lack of dynamic risk assessment To increase Supervisors’ ability to demonstrate safety leadership and understand their key responsibilities. Nine (9) modules built around the six (6) Safety Leadership Responsibilities that promote safe behaviour among staff. The practice and coaching that follows the workshop gives the supervisors the skills they need to carry out those responsibilities. Sessions include relationship building, inquiry and listening skills, intervention practice, job planning, preparation and understanding personal contributions to safety. Participants are energised to have a recognized role in achieving Goal Zero. Enjoy a unique opportunity to engage with Leaders, breaking down organization barriers and a new approach to safety conversations.
