You will need a new part in your notebook You will need a new part in your notebook. Make a title page – title it The Wave By Todd Stasser You will be reading this book on your own. You will have class time to do this, but it will be up to you to finish your reading assignment when it is due. You do not have time to day dream or be distracted. I expect you to read. If you do not finish your assignment in class that day, it will be homework.

Do you think our student body is unified. Explain Do you think our student body is unified? Explain. What do you think could be done to unify it?

“Nobody is better than anyone else for once. ” Write about that “Nobody is better than anyone else for once.” Write about that. Why is that so important?

You will be reading this on a computer You will be reading this on a computer. Before you begin, write the date on a sheet of paper and the reading assignment. As you read, write down things that stand out to you. Write anything you notice about the characters on your sheet. This is your semester exam – 10% of your final grade.

Semester Exam – Grading Rubric All of the grades are based on the amount of critical thinking you put in your notes, and effort made. Daily notes are worth 60% of your semester exam. Your score ranges from 0-7 points each day. Average point scoring is 5. If you go above and beyond, you get 7. You have to be here to get points. If you are absent, you must come and show me your notes. If YOU forget, you lose 7 points. Character analysis sheet is worth 20 points. That is also based on the amount of thought and effort you put into it. You will need to, at the end, do a write up on one character from that sheet. This is worth 10 of those points. Write about how that character changed, throughout the book, and the lessons learned. Illustrate the page is the last grade. This will be done the day we have our Semester Exam. It is worth 20 points. If you are going to be absent, you need to get with me and do it ahead of time. This is based on thought, effort, and neatness. You may either tell me the page you would like me to print for you, or print it yourself. Make sure you print ONLY that page.
