Department of Safety and Security Confirm child is missing; not just late or absent from school, but confirmed as missing How is child missing? Did not arrive at school? Did not arrive home? Left building? Contact 911 and School Chief. Contact Safety and Security if unable to reach School Chief Have staff member gather demographic information and most recent picture. Information includes name, Student ID number, DOB, address, parent/guardian information, disabilities, general clothing description, known friends, known hang-outs Have information readily available for RPD and RCSD staff Safety and Security will dispatch Mobile Units and/or Road Patrol to search locations Flexibility is key as management of the situation dictates the process
