Things to think about… What were some important word choices each artist made? Did either of them use any figurative language? Did they both have simple sentences? Any complex sentences? How do these choices inform the mood/tone?

Taking a look at these songs: What are two examples of imagery from each song? Are the examples using figurative or literal language? What type of figurative language? How do these images inform the mood and tone of the song? What diction do the artists use that help inform the mood and tone? Which style do you prefer? Why?
