Phillip is excited when the Germans invade the island of Curacao.

War has always been a game to him, and he is eager to see it. =

But the boat back to the U.S.A. happened to be torpedoed!

But when Phillip wakes up…

He is on a small raft in the middle of the sea!

an old West Indian, Timothy, Besides Stew Cat, an old West Indian, Timothy, is with him.

Phillip’s racest mother has said, “They live differently,” about blacks.

When they arrive to a forgotten island,

Phillip’s head injury has suddenly made him blind!

After the hurricane,

He saw Timothy, of Charlotte Amalie, had died.

Even when being dependent on Timothy,

Phillip has to adjust to his blindness without Timothy.

And to understand the wise man, who is Phillip’s companion.
