History Various Government types ruled Korea from ancient times and 1900’s. Korea was a part of Japan from 1910 until WWII started in 1945. After Japan’s defeat Korea divided. World Book Page: 368

History: War Many wars have come upon Korea such as the Korean War. In 1950, North Korean troops invaded South Korea. This action triggered the Cold War struggle between communist and non-communist stations. The Korean war ended in 1953, however no side had actually won! In March 2010, the South Korean warship Cheonan was sunk in an area of the Yellow Sea that's in dispute with North Korea. Forty-six sailors were killed. South Korea suspected North Korea was responsible and ordered an international investigation so the results of the probe would be perceived as impartial. In May, investigators produced a piece of a torpedo propeller that they believed had a North Korea serial number. World Book Page: 368 and www.factmonster.com/

History: War The south Koreans now had evidence. After the south concluded that the north was responsible they closed seaways, cut trades and even blasted propaganda through loud speakers at the border! From that day on North and South divided and the North would attack the south with their army and the deadly North Korean Special Operations Forces! http://www.factmonster.com/
