How to Deal with One Legal Copy of Software By: Team 1 Tammy Kempf, Cindy Listowski, and Donnalee Washburn

Use computer and projector to present the program in the classroom with one computer. Teacher has one copy of legal software. One computer in classroom along with use of 15 computer lab.

Use the lab to have the children respond to the presentation using the software that you have on all of the computers. You can also assign groups to work independently on the one computer in the classroom while everyone else is using the lab.

Use classroom computer with the program on it in groups Use classroom computer with the program on it in groups. One group at a time.

Use the lab to do research on the internet to go along with the project. Students can work in the lab to type up reports about the project working on software that is on the computers. They can also do research in the lab.

Bring the class back together to present on the one computer with the software on it.

Model Ethical behavior As teachers that are teaching students to be honest and ethical we must never infringe on copy right laws. Never use software on more than one computer with out a license to do so.

Set high expectations for students’ ethical behavior. Teachers must communicate these high expectations clearly and consistently. Model ethical behavior on a daily basis!
