Potential Opioid Health Home Changes The Department is working towards improving the OHH model by: Creating a tiered rate structure to reflect varying levels of need/services by clinical phase and individual need. Increasing staffing flexibilities, including allowing ramp-up time for training nurse care managers and clinical counselors. Including urine drug screening in the OHH bundle of services. Billing medication costs separately for MaineCare members. Amending requirement for an OHH to have an Electronic Health Record (EHR) for each member to allow provider flexibility in meeting OHH requirements. The upcoming rulemaking will have a full explanation of all changes. Maine Department of Health and Human Services

Next Steps for Organizations To become an OHH service provider: Complete an OHH application. Once approved, MaineCare staff will do a site visit and provide training on the Value-Based Purchasing Management System. If providing OHH services to uninsured individuals, MaineCare/DHHS will send you a contract for review/signature. Please contact us with any questions about or assistance with this process: OHH-Reporting.DHHS@maine.gov. Maine Department of Health and Human Services
