Presenting Data Ways to organize and present data: *Data Tables -each column has a heading -column headings explain where particular data should be placed

Create a Data Table for student’s heights by class

Height Class 1 Class 2 Class 3 Total 5’1” 5’2” 5’3” 5”4”

Drawings *circle drawings -usually for microscopes -show field of view -always include magnification

*some represent an organism or parts of an organism -make structures as clear and accurate as possible

Labeling of Drawings: *use ruler to draw label lines *label lines should point to the center of the structure being labeled *do not write on the label lines *print all labels horizontally *label the right-hand side of the drawing, if possible *do not cross label lines

Averages *add the items in the group together and then divide the total by the number of items *ex. 12, 13, 14, 17, and 19 * 12+13+14+17+19=75 75/5=15 average = 15
