Vocabulary – Quinn 4 & Rashad 3 corden – (verb) to put or form a barrier to close off an area.  Would they cordon off the sidewalks? conviction – (noun) a fixed or firmly held belief or opinion,  It was one thing to have a conviction, but to be beaten up or killed for it—was it worth it? neutral – (adj.) not supporting any side or position in a controversy oppressor – (noun) someone who controls through cruelty and force IF YOU ARE NEUTRAL IN SITUATIONS OF INJUSTICE, YOU HAVE CHOSEN THE SIDE OF THE OPPRESSOR. trudging – (verb) to walk heavily or wearily He was hunched forward, not looking back, trudging his way to practice. scot-free – (adv.) an action that produces  no harm, loss, or penalty. If this day ended up as just another protest and Officer Galluzzo got off scot-free, I would never be the same person. comrades – (noun) a person who shares in one's activities such as a companion,  or friend.
