1. Two long straight wires carry identical currents in opposite directions, as shown. At the point labeled A, is the direction of the magnetic field left,
The wires are separated by distance a and carry currents I 1 and I 2 in the same direction. Wire 2, carrying current I 2, sets up a magnetic field B 2.

P&O Ferrymasters Driver Training Programme 2019 v1 Loose Tubes P&O Ferrymasters Driver Training Programme 2019 v1

Loose Tubes excl. 508mm diameter X 12 for 6m tubes X 8 X 10 for 12m tubes NOTE :- When 6m tubes loaded, all stanchions should be pulled in by ratchet straps Applied after second row of tubes OVERHEAD LOADING IS BY MAGNETIC CRANE PRECISE POSITIONING OF TUBES IS THEREFORE POSSIBLE BUT TRAILER NEEDS TO BE PARKED IN STRAIGHT LINE / PARALLEL TO THE OVERHEAD CRANE TRACKS. RATCHET STRAPS MUST BE USED TO PULL IN THE STANCHIONS AFTER 2ND ROW OF TUBES ON 12M+ TUBES ON FRONT AND LAST PAIRS OF STANCHIONS ON 6M TUBES - ALL STANCHIONS ARE TO BE SECURED IN THIS WAY NOTE :- WHERE SPACE LEFT BETWEEN TUBES AND STANCHIONS - TATA WILL CHOCK WITH TIMBER WHICH WILL BE TAPED TO THE STANCHION POSTS THE TIMBER DUNNAGE SHOULD BE APPLIED SO THAT ALL STANCHIONS SUPPORT THE LOAD.

Large Tubes – 508mm diameter X 8 Loop lashing straps applied as shown X 10 for 12m tubes Loop lashing straps applied in pairs to front and to rear of tubes Tubes loaded up to the headboard Use a minimum of eight (8) stanchion posts Place first stanchions in front pockets and remainder equally along the length of the load Require a minimum of 10 straps 2 x around front and rear stanchion posts – AFTER FIRST row of tubes 4 x looped – at front and rear of tubes (See diagram) REMEMBER - to position these loop straps after first row of tubes have been loaded, then complete when all tubes are loaded when the remaining 4 straps are also secured over the product 4 x over the product – lash down Ratchet strap tensioned around front and rear Stanchions. After FIRST row of tubes = timbers
