New starters evening at st. john fisher Thursday 23rd may 2019

Play engages every aspect of the child’s experience ― the physical activities of the child, the mind and imagination, as well as the emotions. It can involve working with others or working alone. Either way, it invites children to manage their own activities and show some degree of self-regulation. For these reasons (and many others), play holds a unique position as a means of learning for young children. Glenda Walsh Hello – My name is Lisa Farmer, and I am the Early Years Teacher at St John Fisher I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you and learn more about what your child’s first year at our school will involve. We use an online learning journal to: Record and track your child’s learning Share with you their learning on a weekly basis Enable you to share learning and experiences with us Celebrate achievements

Practical Details We provide fruit for break time and milk or water. We would like your child to be toilet trained before joining us in September. Do practice this with family meals at home.
