If signal is seen by Katrin Sensitivity KATRIN**** assume that 0.1 eV achievable with significant additional tech improvement MARE**: 0.2 eV with 187 Re achievable (the study of syst. is in good shape, main critical issue is the unknown phenomenology in the S/C absorber), few eV exp under way. P8*: Demonstration of radiofrequency T spectroscopy (2y), --> few eV experiment within the Katrin time scale. Reconstruction exp.*: available tech. --> main issue is the scaling for achieving 0.2 ( demonstration in time scale of 2y) Down to 0.01 eV? (Super) KATRIN****: main limitation due the achievable statistics (source opacity) MARE**: (+) Ho-163 with 0.1 eV resolution (presently achieved for special applications), no fundamental limit are foreseen by basic principles. - issues: (+) scalability (tech in development for Astroph.), (-)systematics? - P8 and Reconstruction (?) If signal is seen by Katrin Motivation for another experiment is check of systematics and possibly improve the “signature” . There are additional physics isuses beyond that motivate improved experiment.
