WWII July 7, 1937 – Japan goes to war with China Sept. 1, 1939 – Germany invades Poland Sept. 3, 1939 – France and Britain declare war on Germany Sept. 27, 1940 - Japan signs the Tripartite Pact with Germany and Italy Dec. 7, 1941 – Japan bombs Pearl Harbor Dec. 8, 1941 – US enters WWII
