TAKLIMAT PROGRAM MASTER PENDIDIKAN (PENTADBIRAN PENDIDIKAN) KERTAS PROJEK FAKULTI PENGAJIAN PENDIDIKAN / UPMET Universiti Putra Malaysia UPM IS THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROVIDER (EPP) TO BE ACCREDITED

KERTAS PROJEK Daftar EDU5988 Kertas Projek dalam semester ketiga dan keempat. Penyelaras akan menetapkan Penyelia untuk pelajar. Pelajar mengisi BORANG PELANTIKAN PENYELIA KERTAS PROJEK Pada akhir semester ketiga, pelajar mesti menyerahkan SATU salinan proposal (bab satu hingga bab tiga) kepada Penyelaras Penyelia akan memberi markah berdasarkan proposal tersebut. (10%) Pada akhir semester keempat, pelajar mesti menyerahkan DUA salinan laporan akhir (bab satu hingga bab lima) dan laporan TURNITIN (<30%) kepada Penyelaras

KERTAS PROJEK Pada akhir semester keempat, pelajar dikehendaki membuat pembentangan kertas projek di Fakulti Pengajian Pendidikan, UPM Serdang. Tempoh pembentangan ialah 20 minit dan sesi soal jawab selama 10 minit. Pelajar dikehendaki membuat penambahbaikan dan menyerahkan laporan akhir dalam bentuk CD dalam tempoh dua minggu selepas pembentangan. Markah lulus kertas projek ialah 55% (C+). Pelajar yang memperoleh gred bawah C+ dianggap gagal dan diberi gred F.

MINIMUM RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS FOR PROJECT PAPER A. TITLE B. INTRODUCTION C. LITERATURE REVIEW D. METHODOLOGY E. FINDINGS F. DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

MINIMUM RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS FOR PROJECT PAPER Title  Must be related to the field of study  Not exceeding 20 words b. Introduction  Must be according to the sub-headings of chapters as in the common research report format  Objectives - maximum of four (4) objectives  Research focus - related to the field of study

MINIMUM RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS FOR PROJECT PAPER c. Literature review  Theoretical framework – the theoretical foundation for the research  Conceptual framework – minimum of three (3) variables  At least twenty percent (20%) of the literature referred to should be from the past five years

MINIMUM RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS FOR PROJECT PAPER d. Methodology  Must adhere to sub-headings of the methodology chapter using the common research report format  Quantitative analysis: - Descriptive statistics - Basic inferential statistics (e.g. t-test, correlation)  Qualitative analysis - identification of themes and patterns

MINIMUM RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS FOR PROJECT PAPER e. Findings  Must answer every research objective stated f. Discussion, Conclusion and Suggestion  Discussion based on the research problem of study, theories and past research findings g. The total number of pages is between 60-100 pages (excluding Tables, Figures and Attachments). Line spacing is 1.5 and font size is 12 Times New Roman.

MARKING SCHEME Full Marks for the project paper is 100 and is divided into 3 sections: a. Evaluation of Project Paper Proposal, first phase by supervisor - 10 marks b. Evaluation of Final Project Paper Report by Supervisor - 60 marks c. Evaluation of Final Project Paper Report by Examiners - 30 marks

PELAKSANAAN PROJEK SEMESTER PERTAMA KERTAS PROJEK (SEMESTER KETIGA) MINGGU AKTIVITI 1 – 2 Serah borang Pelantikan Penyelia Kertas Projek kepada Penyelaras 1 – 3 Berbincang dengan penyelia: draf pertama proposal 4 – 8 Berbincang dengan penyelia: instrumen kajian 4 – 12 Berbincang dengan penyelia: draf proposal yang dibaiki 5 – 12 Dapatkan pengesahan pakar untuk instrument Serah proposal (Bab 1, 2,3) bercetak kepada Penyelaras untuk pemarkahan 12 - 16 Dapatkan kebenaran menjalankan kajian (eg: EPRD, JPN, Sekolah, institusi pendidikan lain)  

PELAKSANAAN PROJEK SEMESTER KEDUA KERTAS PROJEK (SEMESTER KEEMPAT) MINGGU AKTIVITI 1 – 4 Buat kajian rintis 2 – 5 Berbincang dengan penyelia: dapatan kajian rintis 3 – 8 Pengumpulan data kajian sebenar 7 – 10 Berbincang dengan penyelia: penulisan bab 4 dan bab 5 10 – 12 Berbincang dengan penyelia: penulisan akhir dan pembentangan Serah 2 laporan kertas projek bercetak kepada Penyelaras Buat pembentangan di FPP, UPM Serdang  

Scholarly Integrity- Prohibition Without prejudice to the generality of Rule 59(ii)(b), a student is considered to have committed plagiarism when he: (a) publishes, with himself as the author, an abstract, article, scientific or academic paper, or book which is wholly or partly written by some other person; (b) incorporates himself or allows himself to be incorporated as a co-author of an abstract, article, scientific or academic paper, or book, when he has not at all made any contribution to the abstract, article, scientific or academic paper or book; (c) forces another person to include his name in the list of co-researchers for a particular research project or in the list of co-authors for a publication when he has not made any contribution which may qualify him as a co-researcher or co-author;

Scholarly Integrity- Prohibition (d) extracts academic data which are the results of research undertaken by some other person, such as laboratory findings or field work findings or data obtained through library research, whether published or unpublished, and incorporate those data as part of his academic research without giving due acknowledgement to the actual source; (e) uses research data obtained through collaborative work with some other person, whether or not that other person is a staff member or a student of the University, as part of another distinct personal academic research of his, or for a publication in his own name as sole author, without obtaining the consent of his co-researchers prior to embarking on his personal research or prior to publishing the data; (f) transcribes the ideas or creations of others kept in whatever form, whether written, printed or available in electronic form, or in slide form, or in whatever form of teaching or research apparatus, or in any other form, and claims either directly or indirectly that the student is the creator of that idea or creation;

Scholarly Integrity- Prohibition (g) translates the writing or creation of another person from one language to another whether wholly or partly, and subsequently presents the translation in whatever form or manner as the student’s own writing or creation; or (h) extracts ideas from another person’s writing or creation and makes certain modifications without due reference to the original source and rearranges it in such a way that it appears as if the student is the creator of those ideas.

Scholarly Integrity- Prohibition (iii) A student shall not fabricate data which include invention or forgery of research data, recordings or citations, and report them in writing either in the thesis or in his publications. (v) A student shall not falsify data which include alteration/modification, selective omission or misrepresentation of research data or citations, and report them in writing either in the thesis or his publications. (vi) A student is not allowed to employ or delegate another person to do or write the work which the student submits as his own. This includes the hiring of ghost writers for writing the entire or part of the thesis or amending parts or the whole thesis.
