The Anatomy of a Position 7.1 Learning (Students) 7.2 Staff 7.3 Capital Facilities & School Construction 7.4 Funding & Allocations 7.5 Governance Logan WSSDA’s 2019 legislative positions are organized into five categories: Learning; Staff; Capital Facilities & Construction; Funding & Allocations; and Governance. The positions are intentionally ordered starting with those specific to students and student learning first, with the following categories as critical overarching supports for every student’s success. The descriptions for each category provide an overview of the types of positions found within it, as well as more refined sub-categories.

The Anatomy of a Position SLP/LP Standing / Legislative Position 7 Section 7 of broad position structure 1 Position Category (i.e. 1= "Learning") A Position Sub-Category label 5 Rank Order a / b Position Sub-Label Example Numbering: SLP/LP.7.1.A.RANK ORDER.{a - e, as needed} Marissa Positions labels begin with either “SLP” (Standing Legislative Position) or “LP” (Legislative Position). SLPs have been approved by the legislative assembly for four consecutive years and LPs are new or continuing positions that have yet to be designated SLP.   The last number in each position’s numbering represents where that position was prioritized by the 2018 legislative assembly. In some instances, a position or positions in the same category were ranked equally. In those cases, the positions are listed alphabetically by title and differentiated by the last character of the series (a lower-case letter).

The Anatomy of a Position Position Title Leg Comm. Recommendation and Requestor Current Language Proposed Position with Changes Proposed Language Logan Reasons to Support Recommendation
