Simulation of the bunching effect: Turn-by-turn tracking of the ions Linear map for transverse motion (determined by tunes) Shift due to momentum spread in longitudinal direction Cooling works as a “kick” IBS could be included (not significant in the experiment) Shrinking of dp/p shows the cooling effect Modulation of charge density in z direction shows the bunching effect Cooling is artificially improved by 100 times for fast simulation Should be repeated using the real experimental parameters and cross check with the experimental data Initial distribution 40,000 turn 80,000 turn
