Sketch/write #7: Independent Project Research Agenda 2/9/15 Sketch/write #6: Bokeh Sketch/write #7: Independent Project Research Continue shooting photos for the Abstract Photography Project: Practice Impressionist Photos, Light Painting, Bokeh Complete 1 Abstract Photoshop Tutorial. Use the links on the website. You will turn in 2 different versions of this tutorial: 1 original and 1 where you have altered colors, lines, shapes, etc. – Due end of next class Work on your Independent Project

Sketch/write #6: Review the “Abstract Bokeh Examples” on the website and the article on “7 Quick Tips to Create Bokeh”. Choose 1 photo you like the best. Describe it or draw a small sketch of it in color. 2) Explain why you like this photo. What stands out to you? What makes it unique? 3) Explain the elements of art that stand out in this photograph. 4) Explain the principles of design that stand out. 5) Explain what camera techniques you think the photographer used to shoot this photo. 6) List and explain IN YOUR OWN WORDS the 7 quick tips to create a bokeh effect in your photography.

Sketch/write #7: Independent Project Research: What project will you complete? Why does it appeal to you? Research 1 or more photographers or artists whom work in this style. Include a description of their process, what they shoot, locations, procedures, materials or supplies needed, etc. Draw 3 thumbnail sketches of their photographs/artwork or describe 3 in detail. Explain why you chose these 3 images. What is successful about them? How may these works inspire your own work? Explain the concepts for your own photographs/artworks. What will they be of? What is the overall concept/idea? Explain what you will do for your own photographs/artworks. What will you need, where will you shoot, what props or staging will you have to do, etc.
