Expert Group on Quality of Life Indicators Among the conclusions reached by the SpG: To set up an expert group for the refinement of the scoreboard of indicators and their computation; the group should represents users, producers and other stakeholders In November 2011, the ESSC endorsed the final report of the SpG The Directors of Social Statistics meeting of 21 March 2012 issued the ToR and mandate for the EG on QoL indicators 3

EG QoLI Composition: members from Delegates from NSIs (or National Statistical authorities) [5-7] Academia [3] and ESocS [1] Commission (DG ESTAT, DG EMPL, JRC) and EU agencies (Eurofound for EQLS) OECD Scope Finalising the list of indicators on QoL, based on a literature review and a proposal for synthetic indicators Developing the indicators, based on sound theoretical standards Presenting and disseminating the scoreboard 4
