We are big first graders now and the work is becoming more and more challenging. Your child should know at least 100 sight words by this point of the year, be able to write a story that is a full page long with a beginning, a middle and an end, count to 120 by 1s, 2s, 10s, and 5s, and add and subtract number combinations to 20.
