Get Out Get Active (GOGA) will provide a range of engagement activities over a three-year period from September 2016 – September 2019 to engage disabled and non-disabled participants into sport and physical activity. Swimming 7 fantastic swimming pools which run a comprehensive range of sessions across the week Swimming is a great form of all-round exercise. Ideal if you want to be more active and stay healthy, whatever your age or ability. Regular swimming can reduce the risk of chronic illnesses, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and stroke. It can also boost mood and keep weight under control Sessions available include Swim School, public swimming, various aqua classes and specialist female only and dementia swimming sessions

Dementia Swimming New programme of Dementia Swimming sessions in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society to provide a swimming experience in a safe and supportive environment for those diagnosed with dementia. Nottingham City Council operates a carer goes free scheme and the carer is welcome to go into the water also.
