Sing like never before O my soul I’ll worship Your Holy name

① The sun comes up It’s a new day dawning It’s time to sing Your song again

Whatever may pass And whatever lies before me Let me be singing When the evening comes

② You’re rich in love And You’re slow to anger Your name is great And Your heart is kind

For all Your goodness I will keep on singing Ten thousand reasons For my heart to find

③ And on that day When my strength is failing The end draws near And my time has come

Still my soul will Sing Your praise unendingTen thousand years And then forevermore

Scripture Reading Judges 7:16-8:3 33 33

Judges 7:16-8:3(1/11) 16 Dividing the three hundred men into three companies, he placed trumpets and empty jars in the hands of all of them, with torches inside. 34 34

Judges 7:16-8:3(2/11) 17 “Watch me,” he told them. “Follow my lead. When I get to the edge of the camp, do exactly as I do. 18 When I and all who are with me blow our trumpets, then from all around the camp blow yours and shout, ‘For the Lord and for Gideon.’” 35 35

Judges 7:16-8:3(3/11) 19 Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the edge of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just after they had changed the guard. They blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands. 36 36

Judges 7:16-8:3(4/11) 20 The three companies blew the trumpets and smashed the jars. Grasping the torches in their left hands and holding in their right hands the trumpets they were to blow, they shouted, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” 37 37

Judges 7:16-8:3(5/11) 21 While each man held his position around the camp, all the Midianites ran, crying out as they fled. 38 38

Judges 7:16-8:3(6/11) 22 When the three hundred trumpets sounded, the Lord caused the men throughout the camp to turn on each other with their swords. The army fled to Beth Shittah toward Zererah as far as the border of Abel Meholah near Tabbath. 39 39

Judges 7:16-8:3(7/11) 23 Israelites from Naphtali, Asher and all Manasseh were called out, and they pursued the Midianites. 40 40

Judges 7:16-8:3(8/11) 24 Gideon sent messengers throughout the hill country of Ephraim, saying, “Come down against the Midianites and seize the waters of the Jordan ahead of them as far as Beth Barah.” So all the men of Ephraim were called out and they seized the waters of the Jordan as far as Beth Barah. 41 41

Judges 7:16-8:3(9/11) 25 They also captured two of the Midianite leaders, Oreb and Zeeb. They killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb at the winepress of Zeeb. They pursued the Midianites and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon, who was by the Jordan. 42 42

Judges 7:16-8:3(10/11) 1 Now the Ephraimites asked Gideon, “Why have you treated us like this? Why didn’t you call us when you went to fight Midian?” And they challenged him vigorously. 43 43

Judges 7:16-8:3(11/11) 2 But he answered them, “What have I accomplished compared to you? Aren’t the gleanings of Ephraim’s grapes better than the full grape harvest of Abiezer? 44 44

Judges 7:16-8:3(11/11) 3 God gave Oreb and Zeeb, the Midianite leaders, into your hands. What was I able to do compared to you?” At this, their resentment against him subsided. 45 45
