MCP4725 Digital-to-Analog Converter Presented by: Alex Pugh, Andrew Page, Nick Gabrisko
Features of this chip 12-bit resolution On-board non-volatile memory Low power consumption (power-down mode) I2C
How does it work? It converts a series of impulses into an approximate Analog signal. VDD acts as a reference voltage, and It takes in digital inputs and Converts them to analog relative To that.
Quantization Error Since it approximates analog signals with impulses, it doesn’t exactly reproduce the analog signal. It is seen in the form of low-level noise in a signal, which in most applications isn’t significant.
