St. Edward’s School

St. Edward’s School We are a 30 year old + school where many of our books have reached their age of usefulness. We are going to undergo an overhaul of our library to transform it into a Learning Commons. Additional donations from community groups would be a great foundation from which to begin this transformation. Thank for in helping to make our Learning Commons a great place to be for our students.

On an island in the cool waters of the northern Atlantic Ocean, there is a seaside school that has a great love of reading. This seaside school named St. Edward’s is a place where stairwells are painted with scenes from Giraffes Can’t Dance, a place where Eric Carle inspired art adorns the hallways and a place where Dr. Seuss’ birthday is enjoyed by everyone. From favourite character dress up days to flashlight reading with older buddies, children and adults alike imagine and explore through reading. ‘I’ll help you put away these books’ and ‘I loved this book and I think you would love it, too’ are words often spoken in the Library at St. Edward’s. St. Edward's story is more than just a love of reading story, it is a story of a community connected by celebrating a love of reading every day.
