Making Mathematics Count: The Smith Report Recommendation 5.3: The Inquiry recommends that there be long-term investment in a national infrastructure to oversee the provision of subject specific CPD. Recommendation 6.12: (consisting) of a National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics to provide expert advice, resources and information in support of the teaching of mathematics, and to oversee the funding for the development and dissemination of mathematics CPD provision at a strategic level.

GCSE Linked Pair Pilot – Focus Group Meeting The aim of the meeting would be to meet with colleagues who are also participating in the Linked Pair Pilot and the NCETM Regional Co-ordinator for the South West to: - highlight the positive outcomes that have been achieved from your participation in the GCSE Mathematics Linked Pair Pilot - share any issues that you are encountering as a result of your participation in the GCSE Mathematics Linked Pair Pilot - identify any areas of content or mathematical processes in which you would like additional support to enhance your teaching of the GCSE Mathematics Linked Pair Pilot - participate in some mathematical tasks that could be used to enrich your teaching of the GCSE Mathematics Linked Pair Pilot
