GET ORGANISED!! You will need the following equipment for the lesson: 5 minutes GET ORGANISED!! You will need the following equipment for the lesson: Some strips of newsprint A water pot with paste in it A sheet of each coloured tissue paper corresponding to all the colours which you have on your final design

Learning Objectives You will: What I’m looking for… Learn how to do papier-mâché properly without making a lot of mess. Learn to work effectively in a team. What I’m looking for… You can work together as a team and delegate the different roles required. You are able to carefully and sensibly coat your final mask with papier-mâché.

Watch a teacher demonstration to learn how to carefully, SENSIBLY and effectively use the papier-mâché paste in order to cover your 3D mask. 3

35 minutes By the end of the lesson you need to make sure that you have covered your entire mask with a couple of layers of newsprint strips, and also a single layer of coloured tissue paper. 4

PREP.WORK Discussion: Think about what decoration and embellishment is required for your mask (i.e. feathers, sequins, fabrics etc.) You will need to organise getting anything that is required to decorate your final mask ready for next week….and also, use this week to keep completing your sketchbook.

5 minutes Turn to the back of your sketchbook, look at the learning objectives from the start of the lesson, tick each statement to indicate how confident you feel you have met each one.
