MATTHEW 23:28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

MARK 12:15 Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?” But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.”

LUKE 12:1 In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

GALATIANS 2:12 for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.

GALATIANS 2:13 And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.

GALATIANS 2:14 But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews?

We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, GALATIANS 2:15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

GALATIANS 2:16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

GALATIANS 2:17 “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not!

GALATIANS 2:18 For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. GALATIANS 2:19 For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God.

GALATIANS 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

GALATIANS 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

Hypocrisy needs to be OPPOSED.

Needs to be done in a spirit of LOVE and RESTORATION.

GALATIANS 6:1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. GALATIANS 6:2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

GALATIANS 6:3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

GALATIANS 6:4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

GALATIANS 6:5 For each one shall bear his own load.

It needs to be dealt with DIRECTLY.

Hypocrisy is often the result of FEAR of what others may SAY or THINK.

Hypocrisy is never ISOLATED.

Hypocrisy’s root is in DISHONESTY with yourself and others.

Hypocrisy is a sin that in some cases must be PUBLICLY dealt with.
