BEATING LONELINESS

JOHN 16:32 (ESV ) Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I'm not alone, for the Father is with me.

WHAT IS LONELINESS? • Loneliness is a separation anxiety brought on by the feelings of being disconnected, out of touch; it is a lost of intimacy or belonging, feeling abandoned, ostracized (exclude from society or group ) and isolated.

WHY WE NEED TO BEAT LONELINESS? 1. In 2004, the United States Department of Justice published a study indicating that loneliness increase suicide rates profoundly among juveniles, with 62% of all suicides that occurred within juvenile facilities being among these who either - were, at the time of suicide in solitary confinement.

WHY WE NEED TO BEAT LONELINESS? 2. PHYSICAL HEALTH. Chronic loneliness can be serious, life threatening health condition, increased risk of stroke, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and obesity.

TWO MAJOR CAUSES OF LONELINESS (As per brother Chris observation ) Loneliness caused by medical / health issues. 2. Loneliness caused by relational issues.

TWO MAJOR CAUSES OF LONELINESS (As per brother Chris observation ) 1. LONELINESS CAUSED BY MEDICAL /HEALTH ISSUES. Example : Barren woman, soldier loosing arm and feet during war, or you have been told that you have a stage 4 cancer and only only one month to live

MY PERSONAL ADVISE 1. Start building bridges not walls. 2. Try to be friends with Godly peoples. 3. Learn to empathize with other's peoples need.
