Be the LIGHT! Be the Light – each of our properties, and even more so each of our leaders has a special greatness within them. We need to honor the greatness in others, but also not be shy about amping up our own individual “points of light” traits if we are going to glow with greatness in 2014. How do we identify and leverage all of the points of light within our organization?

Have the RIGHT Perspective! “what’s Really Important?” – we’ve each had life experiences that have molded our own particular lens with which we view the world, our vocations and our daily routines. Let’s identify the ones that have been positive and led us to being good, and in 2014 have the right perspective to become great. Kind of a - What do you do when life gives you lemons (become a sourpuss or make lemonade) combined with what do you do when life gives you grapes (let them shrivel up and become dried out raisins or make some fabulous vintage wine)?

Be GLAD to be here! Our keynote speaker is a former Blue Angels Squadron leader, and their motto was glad to be here – vs. the alternative of wrecking at Mach 4. It’s the attention to little details when on the mission that determined these guys ability to live another day. At the end of each day they all came together to discuss what went right and what could be done better, however they each started out by saying “glad to be here”.

Be GLAD to be here! Are our folks really glad to be here, do they understand the blessing they have been given to impact so many people’s lives, hopes and dreams on a daily basis or not? We don’t just clean rooms and check people in and out every day – what the hospitality business is really all about is “illuminating the path for others success” by helping them achieve their wildest dreams and greatest desires.
